Academic Advisors

This page is designed to re-enforce the academic rigor of online schooling for academic advisors seeking the legitimacy of credits from this institution. Unfortunately, there are several black sheep in the world of online education who have generated a stigma that understandably needs to be overcome. It the goal of our school to erase from public memory these illegitimate approaches to online learning by "Setting The Standard" in online learning. In so doing, we strain to uphold only the highest level of academic rigor in offering college preparatory classes.

In order to receive credits for an attempted class, students must pass all of their courses with a passing mark to receive the grade and credit indicated on their transcripts.

In order to pass a class students perform a variety of necessary tasks:

• Acheive the mastery level for inter-lesson quizzes
  
• Complete worksheets, papers, projects, PowerPoints, Spreadsheets, presentations, discussions with peers, etc and submit them to be graded by their teacher.
  
• Demonstrate mastery of the subject matter by live discussions with their teacher in a simultaneous virtual meeting.
  
• Pass Unit tests and proctored, end of course, Final exams in appropriate subjects.

OnlineHighSchool.org DOES NOT offer any of the following options:

• Passing a variant of the GED test to issue a diploma
  
• Testing out of subjects to show mastery and granting a diploma
